Board Members:

Anna Chamberlin | Co-Editor in Chief

Anna is a junior and Global Affairs major in Silliman College. Born in rural Pennsylvania, she’s eager to “bring the world to Yale” via ventures with The Globalist, having previously traveled to São Paulo, Brazil with GLO and studied Spanish language in Valencia, Spain. She stays busy as a member of the cross country and track and field teams, but makes sure to find time to paint, make music, and catch up with her family.

 

 

 

Elias Silver | Co-Editor in Chief

Elias is a senior in Jonathan Edwards College majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. He is from New York City and became passionate about foreign affairs through language study, particularly Russian and Chinese. Outside The Globalist, he leads the student guides program at the Yale Center for British Art and is on the university debate team. His hobbies include longboarding, reading, and drinking gongfu tea.

 

 

 

Camila Young  | Online Editor

Camila is a junior in Ezra Stiles College intending to pursue international environmental law. She is Puerto Rican and lives in Miami, FL where she spends her free time scuba diving and reading. Outside of The Globalist, she runs an environmental student advocacy group working to ideologically develop and influence climate policy. She is also an eco-artist, painting to capture the stories of communities impacted by climate change. At Yale, she enjoys coffee shops and hiking East Rock.

 

 

Alejandra Mendez | Business Manager

Alejandra is a junior in Jonathan Edwards College, majoring in Cognitive Science. She is originally from New Bedford, MA. She is interested in environmental policy—particularly in the Caribbean—and international criminal justice. Beyond that, Alejandra serves as the co-president of the Dominican Students Association, manages business operations for the a cappella group Shades of Yale, and conducts research on the incarceration system in New Haven, CT. In her free time, Alejandra enjoys dancing, playing NYT games, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

 

 

Kieth Pemberton | Social Chair

Keith Pemberton is a sophomore at Branford College, studying History with plans to pursue certificates in Arabic and Journalism. Originally from High Point, North Carolina, he’s interested in comparative jurisprudence, American foreign policy, and Cold War historiography. When he’s not working with The Globalist Keith stays busy as the Student Activities Chair for Branford College Council, the Liaison for the Jackson School’s World Fellows program, and a Yale Hemispheres Teacher. In his downtime, he enjoys hiking, playing saxophone, and diving into his family’s genealogy.
